My domain verification stays "pending"

The symptom

You added the Proofpoint verification TXT record to your DNS, but your domain's status stubbornly stays "pending" instead of becoming "verified".

Possible causes

• DNS propagation isn't finished (up to an hour, sometimes more).
• The TXT was mis-copied: extra space, quotes, missing character.
• The TXT was added on the wrong host (it must be at the root, name @).

What to do (step by step)

1. Check the TXT value is exactly the one provided (of the form 1swiss1-verify=…), with no leading/trailing space.
2. Make sure it is published on the @ name (the domain root).
3. Wait for propagation, then click "Verify now" from your service.
