Enabling Proofpoint on my domain (step by step)

Overview

Activation happens in two stages: the order (which creates your protection space), then publishing a few DNS settings to route your mail.

Setup (step by step)

1. Order the suitable Proofpoint plan and enter the domain to protect (e.g. mycompany.ch).
2. After validation, your service appears under My Services with a "Domain ownership verification" section.
3. Publish the MX, SPF and TXT records shown (see the dedicated articles).
4. Our system checks automatically every hour: as soon as everything is in place, your domain becomes "verified" and protection is active.

Good to know

The credentials for your Proofpoint administration console are sent to an address on your domain (by default admin@your-domain). Make sure you have access to it: you can also choose another address on your domain from the client area.
