Publishing Proofpoint's MX and SPF records

What it is

The MX records direct your incoming mail to Proofpoint. The SPF authorises our servers to handle your domain's mail. These settings are made wherever your domain's DNS is managed.

If your domain is managed at 1SWISS1

Good news: we can publish these records automatically. You have nothing to do.

If your domain is managed elsewhere (step by step)

  1. Sign in to your DNS provider (where you manage the domain).
  2. Replace your MX records with those shown in your client area (two servers, same priority).
  3. Add the SPF shown. Caution: if you already have an SPF record, don't create a second one: just add the provided fragment to your existing SPF.
  4. Save. Propagation can take up to a few hours.

Important

Before switching your MX records, make sure your delivery destination is correctly configured in your Proofpoint console, so that filtered mail reaches your mailboxes properly.
